24/7 Emergency Services
We understand that emergencies can happen at any time, day or night. That’s why our team is available 24/7 to provide prompt, professional emergency care— both in the field and at our clinic. We are committed to delivering high-quality, compassionate care when your horse needs it most. Whether your equine partner is facing a sudden illness, injury, or critical condition, our experienced veterinarians are ready to respond with urgency and expertise. An oncall veterinarian is always available for emergency cases, and we coordinate with surgical specialists as needed for referral for urgent procedures.
Our ambulatory service covers a 50-mile radius from our clinic, ensuring we can reach you quickly if you’re unable to transport your horse. If you don’t have access to a trailer, we’re happy to provide contact information for trusted equine haulers.

Pre-Purchase Examinations
Choosing a new horse is an exciting decision—and often a significant investment. At Bella Vista Equine, we believe that no search for the perfect equine partner is complete without a thorough pre-purchase examination (PPE). This comprehensive evaluation helps you make an informed decision by identifying any underlying medical, orthopedic, or conformational concerns that could affect the horse’s future health, soundness, or suitability for your intended discipline.
While a pre-purchase exam cannot predict the long-term outcome or guarantee future performance, it is an invaluable tool for assessing the horse’s current health status and risk factors.

Wellness & Preventive Care

Internal Medicine

Reproduction
We offer a variety of reproductive services including breeding soundness exams, artificial insemination with cooled semen, pregnancy checks via ultrasound and basic preventative medicine for the pregnant mare and growing foal. All reproductive services are available on your farm and in our clinic but to provide optimal breeding of your mare it is best for her to be kept at Bella Vista during her breeding cycle. This allows us to carefully monitor her reproductive cycle and breed at the most appropriate time.

Diagnostics & Imaging
At Bella Vista Equine, we offer a full range of advanced diagnostic imaging to support accurate and efficient evaluation. Our veterinary trucks are equipped with ultrasound, wireless digital radiography, and endoscopy, allowing comprehensive imaging capabilities directly in the field.
All radiographs are available for immediate review and securely stored in the cloud following each exam. Our ultrasound technology enables detailed assessment of tendons, ligaments, and muscles to aid in lameness diagnosis, as well as reproductive and abdominal evaluations and ultrasound-guided procedures such as arthrocentesis and biopsies.
Our endoscopy equipment allows thorough examination of the upper airway and gastrointestinal tract, including the guttural pouches. All imaging services are fully mobile, ensuring your horse receives prompt and high-quality diagnostics wherever needed.
Digital Radiography
