Since 2010, we have been dedicated to providing comprehensive, compassionate care for both equine athletes and companions - whether at our facility or directly in the field. Our mission is to elevate the standard of equine healthcare through expertise, professionalism, and a deep commitment to the well-being of every horse we treat.​​

Our History
Bella Vista Equine Veterinary Services was founded in 2010 by Dr. Peter Meuse after completing an internship at the renowned Littleton Equine Medical Center in Colorado. Upon returning to central Ohio, Dr. Meuse partnered with Dr. Elizabeth Martinsen of Bella Vista Equine Reproductive Services before establishing Bella Vista as an independent practice based in Blacklick, Ohio. It quickly became clear that a central Columbus location was essential to better serve the region’s equine community.
Today, Bella Vista is home to a seven-doctor team with expertise in lameness, general medicine, dentistry, and emergency care. The clinic is also committed to mentoring the next generation of veterinary professionals by offering an off-site elective for Ohio State University veterinary students and clinical experience for veterinary technician students from various programs.
